I hate to admit it, but when I used to do shows I seemed to always have men hanging out at my booth. Part of it usually was they were interested in coins, part of it was they enjoyed talking to my husband who was helping in the booth, and part of it may have been a way to relax while their significant other was still shopping the show! I suspect that if I had offered money clips back then, a few men would have wanted to buy them.
Actually, I like to use money clips too, sothey aren't only for men! I like to carry a very small purse, and a money clip is perfect to hold some cash and my license and a credit card. All I really need, besides my cell phone, for running errands around town. This coin has been my best seller since the beginning. Hummingbirds are cherished by many and it really is a beautiful design. You can find this on my store. Click here

Sometimes seeing a video is preferred to see what one of my pendants looks like. Made this short video of this Tabby Cat coins from Isle of Stroma, Scotland. What do you think? Thx, Ann
This is an amazing interview by the Radiolab team. The story is about a Deep Water Octopus, a mile down where there is no light, and her journey to guard and tend to her 160 Octopus eggs. Something never observed, until now.
https://www.wnycstudios.org/podcasts/radiolab/articles/octomom Did you know that there are Designer Coins that feature artist's work? Me neither, but I just painted this Designer coin with a rabbit that I absolutely love. The coin came from the Anonymous Mint, and it features "Moon Gazer," by British artist Lisa Parker. This is what they call a "Bullion" coin, in that it is made of .999 silver, and is not only beautiful but has a value in the silver it is made of.
Also fun is that they are limiting these coins to 750 total, and each one is engraved with a serial number on the side of the coin. Very special. I have purchased 5 of these coins and painted them, and so will be a limited edition. Not sure if I will find others that I want to paint or not, but this is a very fun start! With Mother's Day right around the corner, I thought you might enjoy knowing a few reasons why elephants are the animal kingdoms best Moms! It might even be fun to share this information with your Mom this Sunday.
Just like most of you during the Pandemic, I have lots of extra time on my hands. In my case, that usually means trouble! So, I am exploring adding some new AnimalCoin products. First up is Money Clips.
Yes, it is true! This was the very first coin that I completed to sell. Can't believe I have been painting coins now for 10 years. In honor of that, I just posted it in a second color. The original opalescent turquoise and now a deep translucent blue. More Trivia - Crocodiles: They can close their ears!
Most of us know crocodiles spend a lot of time in the water with just their heads peeking out. Their eyes are located high on their heads but their ears are a bit lower and so are underwater. They have special flaps that cover their ears and that keeps them dry. On land, they can open the ear flaps to hear better. |
